Breed of the week is where every week, I pick a breed and write some facts and information about it. The Appaloosa is one of my favourite horse breeds and I thought it would be the perfect horse to begin with.

The Appaloosa is the American version of the spotted horse and is a distinctive and recognised breed in the USA. However the Spotted gene in horses is as old as the equine race itself.
